Wild Thyme
on Waiheke

So much thought has gone into creating each suite, and you can tell that the minute you pull up to the front gate.

When Bruce sat down with his architects to design the property, he wanted to create something that not only he could live in and enjoy, but areas that could be purpose-built for accommodation studios that would provide his family space and mod-cons when they came and stayed "overseas" (eg, Waiheke!). The family are spread far and wide these days so the units are available for booking for the majority of the year.

Wild Thyme is located in Little Oneroa, close to restaurants, vineyards, beaches and cafes.

About Bruce

Now, Bruce can be a talkative sort if you're in the mood, but if you asked him to tell you about himself, he'd probably say he's a retired farmer from down South and then change the subject. He loves a laugh, a good game of footie, and the occasional sampling of the many local wine varieties found on the island. Perhaps the best reflection of Bruce as a host is the feedback that Wild Thyme receives from its guests!

What's there not to like!!! The island is beautiful and has so much to offer. We were sincerely blessed to have booked Wild Thyme as it turned out to be an extraordinary experience. The hosts Bruce and Jules and their little family of pets were the most wonderful, kind, respectful and engaging hosts we have had the pleasure to meet in a very very long time. It was the little things that Bruce and Jules did that made the difference between a great stay to an extraordinary holiday. We will def return and can 1000% recommend Wild Thyme as a place to stay.

The best place to stay on Waiheke. Bruce and Jules are epic hosts, literally a home from home. All the little touches you could ask for and more. If you're looking for a beautiful place to explore the island; this is a must. Great communication, cozy home and both go out of their way to cater to all your needs. Thank you both for a wonderful stay.

Guys: this is the place! We traveled through New Zealand for 6 weeks and were lucky to stay in a lot of great places with terrific hosts -- but Bruce and Jules and their Wild Thyme are huge standouts we will long remember. Here's why: 1.) location is excellent, you're just 10 minute walk to restaurants and shops in the island's biggest town, Oneroa, yet you're on a peaceful hillside above Little Oneroa beach. The beach itself is lovely, locals vibe, pizza truck and etc. 2.) the apartment is beautiful, very large for 2, killer deck and fully stocked kitchen and everything you could ask for and then some. 3.) best of all are Bruce and Jules, who are just the most delightful and helpful folks. They respect your privacy but are totally available to help in any way. And they're just good people who are a lot of fun. We're huge fans and you will be too. Enjoy!

Bruce was a sensational host, picking us up from the ferry & giving us great info on the island without being overbearing. View was also amazing and the room delightful.
